The objective of this course is to train an Appointed Person to plan and execute lifting operations. It gives the delegate the skill, confidence, and knowledge to ensure lifting operations are delivered safely, and in accordance with the HSE Guidelines.

Do I need experience as an Appointed Person in order to complete the course?
The course is appropriate for both novices and experienced Appointed Persons.
Will I receive a CPCS Red Card Upon Completion of this course?
Yes, you will receive your CPCS A61 Appointed Persons – Lifting Operations Red Card.
Can I update my Red Card to a Blue Card?
Yes, Boss Plant Training can arrange for you to complete your NVQ so you can get your Blue Card.
Can I renew my Blue Card?
Yes, all you need to do is sit the RT61 and complete your Practical Test or Onsite Assessment in order to renew your Blue Card.
Are there any pre-requisites for this course?
Delegates must have completed the CITB Managers and professionals Health and Safety Touchscreen Test within the last 2 years.
